Today we received a call from KOLAVADA village of Gandhinagar, that one adult cow has fallen down in a well.
Every year, Vanshree trust and forest department of Gandhinagar make joint bird rescue mission during Uttarayan. This year, the count of rescued birds was 40 during the two days of Uttarayan.
Several Rock pigeons, Black kite, Yellow footed green pigeon, parakeet, Black Ibis and other critically endangered species were among those injured during two days of the Uttarayan festival.
As kite flying festival is approaching, we organized an awareness program at Kadi university, Gandhinagar. Our team guided the participants to have a Uttrayan where even the birds are safe. About 50-60 students and teachers had attended the programm. It was very nice to observe that students decided to join hands for saving the birds and refrain from kite flying.
