Vanshree is a group of young, enthusiastic nature lover people. They are keen and determined for environment awareness and conservation.

Legal Status : Vanshree is registered as a Trust under societies registration act since 2001.

Nature awareness Activities

Eco Clubs : We run voluntary eco clubs for school and college students. In which we nurture love and affection towards various forms of nature amongst the students.

Water Conservation :  We know that each drop of pure water is more precious than a jewel. So, we organize many programs to aware people for sensible use of water. We have prepared many water conservation pits. We also educate people for rain water harvesting.

Tree Plantation : Tree is the handiest tool to combat Global Warming. It helps the earth in many manner and so man kind, too. We are very much in plantation and protection of trees. Last year, we distributed 30000 plants in Gandhinagar city and supported to plant another 30000 trees on 2nd of August (the birthday of the city). We have set a tradition to plant a sapling on occasions like birthday, marriage anniversary or as a memory of deceased loved ones.

Agitation against Plastic/Polythene : Through programs like picketing at public places, rallies and lectures we request people not to use plastic recklessly. And educate our eco club members about hazards of plastic/polythene.

Bird Rescue : Many birds are injured by sharp thread during Kite Flying Festival (Uttarayan). Every year we establish a temporary hospital having Veterinary Surgeon and skilled volunteers to treat such injured birds.

Wild Animal Rescue : We rescue wild animals with help of our skills and experienced volunteers. We have rescued and released animals like snakes, monitor lizards, hedgehogs, monkeys, blue bulls, porcupines etc.

Nature Education : We conduct wild life education camps in jungles, mountains, deserts and sea side. We educate our eco club students about various facets of nature through such camps.

Awareness Program : We organize meetings in villages about conservation issues and motivate rural people for tree plantation, water conservation, organic farming and the hazards of pesticides.
